To promote healthy growth, a child needs to eat well, keep active and get enough sleep. Try to establish these healthy habits when your children are young.
Avoid Calorie-Controlled Diets
Calorie-controlled diets are not appropriate for children because they may interfere with their growth and development. Your child needs calories and plenty of vitamins and minerals to grow up healthy. Have your child's weight and height measured regularly, so you can see how they are growing over time. If you're concerned, seek the advice of a physician or registered dietitian.
